At Glasshaus, we genuinely enjoy solving problems and using our creativity to solve one off problems. We are happy to adapt one of our pre-designed solutions or desging something from scratch. Our CAD designers use Solidworks, so we can design everything and test it in a virtual word before spending money. This includes simulating hinges and openings using the softwares clash detection feature.
Next step is to do mock ups or prototypes. We have our own 3D printer and can print one off components to check their suitability is the real world.
We can fabricate from aluminium or steel, or create new extrusions if the quantity is appropriate.
Lastly, we do leak tests whilst still in the workshop to check air tightness. A bespoke design needs extra care to make sure it can buffer to the objects requirements. This is kept in mind from the initial brief and informs the design process all the way through.
