Manufacture

The Glasshaus way is to keep control of everything to guarantee the highest quality and strict control of deadlines.

Extrusions All the case designs are unique to us and we design each profile in house. We then get the aluminum extrusions supplied in bulk so that we carry an extensive stock of the profiles

Hinges The hinges made in-house to our own design. Whenever there is any slack, we build a new batch so we always have them ready for each project

Glass After being let down on a regular basis by glass processing companies, we invested heavily in glass processing equipment. We now buy the glass in bulk direct from the manufacturers and carry large stock of 3 meter x 2 meter sheets at all times. We then cut, polish and drill all our glass in-house.  This ensures deadlines are in our own control and any mistakes, breakages, or client variations can be swiftly resolved.

Materials All our materials are conservation grade and off the British Museum Oddy testing list

Install

As with our project management approach, we like to keep as few links in the chain as possible. This means that the job lead will be in charge of the manufacture from the start and then come to site to lead the install. Our manufacture staff are also our install team, so they all get a turn on site or in the workshop at different times across different projects. It means we have a multi skilled, engaged workforce who are invested in the process and the final outcome. Basically by being part of the whole process, you care more about the end result !

One more thing that sets us apart is that we leak test all our cases even when air exchange testing has not been requested. This is done by filling the cases with an inert gas and the closing the doors and using a detector to pick up any traces escaping from the seals. If we spot any gaps then they are rectified there and then.
